“I belonged to a wonderful school family!”

Below is the transcript of Christina’s testimony during the “Bound for Heaven” Summer Concert held at BIC on May 18, 2018. Christina Chen is leaving the Bangkok Adventist International School (BAIS) with courage, confidence, and sweet memories, as she pushes through with her higher education abroad. Her two-year stay in the church school provided her with wonderful experiences that made her grateful to God, her teachers, and classmates.

I would like to share my personal testimony with you.

First of all, I really want to say thank you to everyone for the past two years that I have studied at BAIS. I feel at home when I came to this school. At first, I don’t even know how to speak English and I also had a hard time in completing my school work. Despite all that, every teacher in the school are always ready to guide, help and encourage me to always do my best. With their love, support and encouragement, I didn’t lose hope in my studies. During those challenging times that I had, my classmates made friends with me, speak with me in English and helped me with my assignments.

The warm hospitality and the love that they showed to me made me feel that I belong to a wonderful school family that love and care for each other.

I believe with all my heart that God loves me and that includes all of us. I sincerely believe that God has a wonderful plan for BAIS. I went to take a secondary placement test in one of the schools in Singapore last holiday, and to my amazement, I passed the test! I couldn’t believe it! Even the Principal of the school was surprised and asked which school did I study at and I proudly told him that, “I am a student of Bangkok Adventist International School”!

I really thank God for His leading and guidance in my life, for the love of BAIS Family that has been shown to me throughout the years I have stayed in the school. As I will be leaving soon, I will definitely miss everyone as this school has made an impact in my life not only educationally but also spiritually. I will continue to pray that the school will always be a channel of blessings and an instrument of God to be a shining light to people around. Thank you!

We praise God for continually using the BAIS church school as one of His channels of love to young people here in Bangkok. We wish Christina and her family all the best as she move to another journey in her life.
