All are called to serve the people of the last days

Remember the time of Noah? God had completely wiped out the entire world of humanity and beasts by flood due to unrepentant generations. How many were saved? Only a few souls – just Noah’s family, a family raised by a God-fearing man who was found to be peculiar during his time when all the other people on earth had corrupted their ways. There’s no such difference when, in God’s appointed time, He shall also destroy the entire world by fire to finally end up sin. Who shall be saved? Only those who persevere and endure until the end of time.

Take a look around us. Everything flows and trails the usual normal routine. Everyone else is preoccupied and engaged with activities done daily. The Bible actually predicted this:

“People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.” Luke 17:27 NIV

We have had major disasters, wars, earthquakes, floods, plagues and so on, yet life has continued and is still continuing on without interruption. We get used of the kind of life we have grown with. We are fascinated dealing with plans for the future, whereas, all efforts and time are solely spent for this purpose. Yet, the Bible points out that we are now living in the last days of earth’s history. Believe it or not – we live in perilous times, Jesus is coming very soon!

May it be that when the Lord draws the final line, we may not be found on the other side, but that we remain steadfast and ready awaiting His soon return. Just like a bride waiting eagerly for her bridegroom, this should also be the way how we prepare to meet our heavenly Master. Not the foolish 5 virgins who were found unprepared when their groom appeared, but let us labor and toil night and day while we patiently wait for the coming of our Savior. Just like the 5 wise virgins as they went to meet the groom, we should always be ready too carrying the light of truth as we keep it burning.

What do we do as members of the remnant?

As remnant believers living in the end times, what do we supposed to do? Are we living our lives peculiar from those around us? Is our true identity in Christ greatly impacting the way we live? Let it be that our lives reflect the truth we received from Jesus. As true Christians, it is our joy to show love to others and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.

What are we waiting for? The time is nigh and the curtain will close, have we done our part? The Lord is consistently extending His invitation to everyone – urging us to become His partners in redeeming the fallen world. There is something each one of us can do. We are peculiar people living in the last days. Our beliefs, doctrine, and faith clearly show it all. The hour of judgment is at hand. That we, the XY generation, can see end of time prophecies being fulfilled right in our very time. Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong and never give up. Let us all work together to hasten the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. All may find something to do and be willing to become reliable instruments for God to accomplish His great purpose.

Right in our very days, the prophecies are fast fulfilling. We see all around us what became of humanity. Men are lovers of their own selves who love pleasures more than of God. Turn away from such and stand for the light. Get rid ourselves of all malice and deceit, from hypocrisy and slander of every kind.

The end is coming and the time is closing. The day of the Lord will come like a thief, let us be ready always. Let us make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with Him. Guard ourselves so that we may not be carried away by sins. Teach ourselves to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus. Let us not also forget to encourage each other that we may be made strong to overcome every trial and tribulation that shall come to pass in the last days.

With great hope and faith, we look forward to that jubilant return of our King. Let us sanctify ourselves as we get ready to meet Him. The Lord does not want anyone to perish but He wishes everyone to come to repentance. His loving hands are ever stretched calling and bidding everyone to come forth. This is our duty as Christians to extend His invitations. As His followers who believe the truth, let us join hands together and stand in our lots and place, saying, Here am I, send me!

All He needs is our willing hearts to go to wherever He leads us on. He sends us, we follow! He will surely look after our needs. No fear, nothing to dread for. His nourishing hands will be fully upon us.

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15 NIV
